Develop and implement epidemiology strategies to support the safety and efficacy of AbbVie's products.
Contribute to the development of protocols, study designs, and statistical analysis plans for epidemiology studies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of epidemiology studies.
Conduct epidemiological research and analysis to identify potential safety issues and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
Stay up-to-date with current epidemiological trends and regulations to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines.
Lead and mentor junior epidemiologists in the department.
Communicate epidemiological findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Collaborate with external partners and regulatory bodies to advance epidemiological research and promote best practices.
Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external experts in the field of epidemiology.
Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures related to epidemiology.
Represent AbbVie at conferences and industry events to showcase our expertise in epidemiology.
Support the recruitment and onboarding of new team members as needed.
Continuously evaluate and improve epidemiology processes and methodologies.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Epidemiology Or Related Field: To Be Considered For The Associate Director Position, Candidates Should Possess A Graduate Degree In Epidemiology Or A Related Field. This Will Provide The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Lead Epidemiological Research And Analysis.
Extensive Experience In Patient Safety And Epidemiology: Successful Candidates Should Have A Solid Background In Patient Safety And Epidemiology, With At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In These Areas. This Will Demonstrate The Ability To Understand Complex Data And Trends Related To Patient Safety And Apply Them To Support Business Decisions.
