  1. Lead and manage a team of statisticians in the areas of health technology assessment and medical affairs.
  2. Provide statistical expertise and guidance for health technology assessment projects and medical affairs activities.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the statistical needs of the projects are met.
  4. Develop, review, and implement statistical analysis plans, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  5. Conduct statistical analyses and interpret results for health technology assessments and medical affairs activities.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in health technology assessment and medical affairs.
  7. Provide support and guidance for regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory agencies.
  8. Mentor and train team members on statistical methodologies and processes.
  9. Ensure quality and consistency of statistical deliverables.
  10. Oversee budget and resource allocation for statistical activities.
  11. Communicate statistical findings and recommendations to non-statistical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  12. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  14. Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and presentations.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Medical Statistics Or Related Field: A Director Of Medical Affairs & Health Technology Assessment Statistics At Abbvie Must Have At Least A Master's Degree In Medical Statistics, Biostatistics, Or A Related Field. This Qualification Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of Statistical Methods And Techniques Used In Clinical Research And Health Technology Assessment.

  • Extensive Experience In Pharmaceutical Industry: Abbvie Is A Global Pharmaceutical Company And Requires A Director Of Medical Affairs & Health Technology Assessment Statistics With A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry. This Experience Should Include Working In A Medical Affairs Or Health Technology Assessment Role, With A Strong Understanding Of The Drug Development Process.

  • Knowledge Of Health Technology Assessment (Hta): The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Hta Processes And Guidelines, Including The Ability To Conduct Statistical Analyses For Hta Submissions. This Includes Experience With Cost-Effectiveness Analysis, Budget Impact Analysis, And Other Hta-Related Statistical Methods.

  • Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Director, This Role Will Involve Managing A Team Of Statisticians And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams Within Abbvie. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills Are Essential To Effectively Guide And Support The Team To Achieve Objectives And Meet Deadlines.

  • Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills: The Director Of Medical Affairs & Health Technology Assessment Statistics Will Be Responsible For Communicating Complex Statistical Concepts And Findings To Various Stakeholders, Including Internal Teams, External Partners, And Regulatory Authorities. Therefore, Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As Strong Presentation Skills, Are Critical For Success In This Role.
