In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing AbbVie's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy, as well as monitoring and analyzing ESG trends and risks. Develop and implement AbbVie's ESG strategy in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Monitor ESG trends and risks and provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business decisions and operations.
Conduct research and analysis on ESG issues, including benchmarking against industry peers and best practices.
Stay current on evolving ESG regulations and reporting frameworks to ensure compliance and transparency.
Communicate AbbVie's ESG strategy and progress to internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, and community partners.
Manage relationships with external ESG rating agencies and respond to their requests for information.
Identify opportunities for AbbVie to enhance its ESG performance and reputation.
Facilitate ESG training and education for employees to promote a culture of sustainability and responsibility.
Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop messaging and materials that effectively communicate AbbVie's ESG initiatives and achievements.
Serve as a subject matter expert on ESG issues and represent AbbVie at relevant conferences and events.
Lead ESG reporting efforts, including the preparation of annual sustainability reports and other disclosures.
Monitor and analyze ESG performance data and provide insights to inform decision-making and improvement efforts.
Foster relationships with external partners and organizations to advance AbbVie's ESG goals and initiatives.
Ensure that all ESG efforts align with AbbVie's values and contribute to the company's mission of improving people's lives.

Job Qualifications

In-Depth Knowledge Of Environmental, Social, And Governance (Esg) Principles And Industry Trends: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Esg Frameworks, Regulations, And Best Practices To Develop And Implement Effective Strategies For Abbvie.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Esg Strategies: The Director Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Successful Esg Strategies In A Corporate Setting, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Healthcare Industry.
Strong Analytical Skills: The Role Requires The Ability To Analyze Complex Data Sets And Trends To Identify Esg Risks And Opportunities For Abbvie. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Using Data To Inform Decision-Making And Drive Business Outcomes.
Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills: As The Director, Esg Strategy & Intelligence, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Engaging With Internal Stakeholders, Investors, And External Partners To Communicate Abbvie's Esg Initiatives And Progress. Therefore, Strong Communication, Negotiation, And Relationship-Building Skills Are Crucial.
Leadership And Project Management Experience: The Director Will Lead A Team And Drive Cross-Functional Collaborations To Execute Esg Strategies. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing Teams And Complex Projects, With A Focus On Delivering Results Within Tight Timelines.
