Develop and implement a comprehensive application security program for AbbVie, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Lead and manage a team of application security professionals to ensure the protection and integrity of critical systems and data.
Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities and proactively implement measures to mitigate them.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the application development lifecycle.
Conduct regular trainings and awareness programs to ensure all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining application security.
Monitor and analyze security incidents and provide timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
Work closely with external vendors and partners to ensure the security of third-party applications.
Develop and maintain relationships with industry security experts and stay current on industry best practices.
Continuously review and improve the application security program to adapt to changing business needs and emerging security threats.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements related to application security.
Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to other teams within the organization on security-related matters.
Drive a culture of security awareness and responsibility throughout the organization.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Application Security: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience Working In Application Security, With A Strong Understanding Of Web Application Security, Mobile Application Security, And Secure Coding Practices. They Should Also Have Experience In Performing Security Assessments And Penetration Testing.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Best Practices: The Director Of Application Security Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Industry Standards Such As Owasp, Nist, And Iso 27001, And Be Familiar With Security Frameworks Like Sans Top 25 And Cis Controls. They Should Also Be Up-To-Date With The Latest Security Trends And Best Practices.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: This Role Will Involve Managing A Team Of Application Security Professionals, So The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills And The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Different Stakeholders. They Should Also Be Able To Present Complex Technical Information To Non-Technical Audiences.
Experience In Implementing And Managing Security Programs: The Director Of Application Security Will Be Responsible For Developing And Implementing A Comprehensive Application Security Program At Abbvie. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Experience In Designing And Managing Security Programs, Including Policies, Procedures, And Training.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field: A Degree In Computer Science, Information Security, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role. A Master's Degree Can Be A Plus, But A Combination Of Relevant Work Experience And Industry Certifications Can Also Be Considered.
