Job Description

In this role, you will play a critical part in developing and executing legal strategies to support our market access and pricing initiatives.   1. Develop and implement legal strategies to support AbbVie's market access and pricing initiatives in the healthcare industry.
  2. Provide legal guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, on all matters related to market access and pricing.
  3. Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare laws and regulations, and proactively advise the company on potential impacts and necessary actions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in the healthcare space.
  5. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential legal risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  6. Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to market access and pricing.
  7. Represent AbbVie in negotiations and communications with external parties, including government agencies and industry organizations.
  8. Monitor and assess potential legal risks associated with new and existing market access and pricing strategies.
  9. Train and educate internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory requirements and potential risks in the healthcare industry.
  10. Build and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and partners to support the company's legal needs.
  11. Provide timely and accurate legal advice and support to the US Market Access and Pricing team.
  12. Collaborate with other legal teams within AbbVie to ensure consistency and alignment with company policies and procedures.
  13. Continuously improve and streamline legal processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Represent AbbVie's values and ethical standards in all interactions and decisions.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Healthcare Industry, With A Focus On Us Market Access And Pricing.

  • Strong Understanding Of Us Healthcare Laws And Regulations, Including Medicare, Medicaid, And The Affordable Care Act.

  • Proven Experience In Negotiating And Drafting Contracts, Including Pricing Agreements And Reimbursement Strategies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders.
