- Develop and implement a government policy legal strategy that ensures AbbVie's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze changes in government policy and regulations that may impact AbbVie's operations and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Advise and guide senior management on government policy and regulatory matters, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including government affairs, regulatory, and compliance, to ensure alignment and consistency in approach to government policy and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to government policy and regulations.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support the development of policies and procedures related to government policy and regulations.
- Provide training and education to internal stakeholders on government policy and regulatory matters to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Represent AbbVie in interactions with government agencies and officials, advocating for the company's interests and promoting compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices related to government policy and regulations, and make recommendations for continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
- Manage outside counsel and legal expenses related to government policy and regulatory matters and ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to government policy and regulatory matters.
- Uphold the company's values and ethical standards in all interactions and activities related to government policy and regulations.
Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Government Policy Legal Work, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Or Healthcare Industry Setting
Strong Understanding Of U.s. Government Regulations And Policies Related To The Pharmaceutical Industry
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Legal Concepts To Non-Legal Stakeholders
Experience Working With Government Agencies And Regulatory Bodies, Such As The Fda And Department Of Health And Human Services
