  1. Lead the development and implementation of pharmacometric strategies to support drug development and regulatory submissions.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate and interpret pharmacometric data to inform drug development decisions.
  3. Ensure all pharmacometric analyses and models are scientifically sound and comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  4. Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on pharmacometric principles and methodologies.
  5. Contribute to the development of clinical study designs and protocols to optimize data collection for pharmacometric analyses.
  6. Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of pharmacometric analyses for regulatory submissions.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current industry trends and developments in pharmacometrics to continuously improve and enhance strategies.
  8. Mentor and develop team members, providing leadership and guidance to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with external partners and key stakeholders to further advance pharmacometric capabilities and support business goals.
  10. Communicate complex pharmacometric concepts and results effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  11. Drive innovation and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in pharmacometric practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Pharmacometrics Or Related Field: The Ideal Candidate For The Associate Director Position At Abbvie Should Possess An Advanced Degree In Pharmacometrics Or A Related Field Such As Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biostatistics, Or Mathematics. This Demonstrates A Strong Foundation In The Principles And Techniques Of Pharmacometrics And The Ability To Apply Them In A Pharmaceutical Industry Setting.

  • Proficiency In Modeling And Simulation Software: Abbvie Is Seeking A Candidate Who Is Highly Skilled In Using Modeling And Simulation Software Such As Nonmem, R, And Phoenix. This Proficiency Is Essential For Conducting Pharmacokinetic And Pharmacodynamic Analyses And Developing Drug-Disease Models.

  • Experience In Pharmacometrics: The Associate Director Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Pharmacometrics, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Industry Setting. This Experience Should Include A Proven Track Record Of Successful Drug Development Projects, Including Designing And Executing Pharmacokinetic And Pharmacodynamic Studies.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Effectively Interpret Complex Pharmacometric Data And Provide Actionable Insights To Support Drug Development Decisions. Strong Mathematical And Statistical Skills Are Also Essential For This Role.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: The Associate Director Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Pharmacometricians And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams. Therefore, Excellent Leadership, Project Management, And Communication Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role. The Candidate Should Also Be Able To Effectively Present And Communicate Complex Pharmacometric Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
