  1. Develop and execute international public affairs strategies to enhance AbbVie's reputation and influence in the global healthcare industry.
  2. Monitor and analyze international political and regulatory developments that may impact AbbVie's business and develop proactive strategies to address them.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, patient advocacy groups, and media outlets.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of public affairs initiatives with business objectives.
  5. Serve as a spokesperson for AbbVie on international public affairs issues, including preparing messaging and talking points.
  6. Manage and oversee the budget for international public affairs activities.
  7. Develop and maintain effective crisis communication plans for potential reputational risks.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in international public affairs and apply them to AbbVie's strategies.
  9. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives that support AbbVie's corporate social responsibility goals.
  10. Represent AbbVie at international conferences, meetings, and other events to promote the company's mission and objectives.
  11. Lead and mentor team members to ensure the successful execution of public affairs strategies and initiatives.
  12. Measure and report on the effectiveness of international public affairs activities and make recommendations for improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience In Public Affairs And/Or Government Relations In The International Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of International Government Processes, Policies, And Regulations Related To Healthcare And Pharmaceuticals.

  • Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing And Influencing Relationships With Key Stakeholders, Including Government Officials, Industry Associations, And Patient Advocacy Groups.

  • Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Represent The Company And Its Interests To A Variety Of Audiences.

  • Experience In Developing And Executing Strategic Plans For International Public Affairs, Including Crisis Management And Issues Management.
