  1. Lead and manage drug development programs, ensuring timely and successful completion of clinical pharmacology activities.
  2. Apply expertise in clinical pharmacology principles to design and implement clinical studies.
  3. Provide strategic input on drug development plans and participate in decision-making processes.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of clinical pharmacology strategies.
  5. Analyze and interpret clinical pharmacology data to support decision-making and regulatory submissions.
  6. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to present and defend clinical pharmacology strategies and data.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and developments in clinical pharmacology to guide decision-making and improve processes.
  8. Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support for their growth and development.
  9. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental goals and strategies.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Pharmacology Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Or A Related Field Is A Key Qualification For An Associate Director, Clinical Pharmacology At Abbvie. This Will Ensure That The Candidate Has A Solid Understanding Of Drug Development Processes And The Principles Of Pharmacokinetics And Pharmacodynamics.

  • Significant Experience In Clinical Pharmacology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Clinical Pharmacology, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Company. This Experience Should Include Designing And Executing Clinical Pharmacology Studies, Analyzing And Interpreting Pharmacokinetic And Pharmacodynamic Data, And Contributing To Regulatory Submissions.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: Abbvie Is A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Associate Director, Clinical Pharmacology Will Be Responsible For Ensuring That All Clinical Pharmacology Studies Are Conducted In Compliance With Regulatory Requirements. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Fda And International Regulatory Guidelines Related To Drug Development.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As An Associate Director, Clinical Pharmacology, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Lead A Team Of Scientists And Researchers. Therefore, Strong Leadership, Communication, And Management Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing Teams And Projects.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Effectively Design And Interpret Clinical Pharmacology Studies. They Should Also Be Able To Identify Potential Issues Or Challenges And Develop Strategies To Address Them. Attention To Detail And The Ability To Think Critically Are Crucial In This Role.
