Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team at Abbott as a Tax Manager for Income Tax Provision & Reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's income tax provision process and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of income taxes in accordance with both US GAAP and tax laws. As a key member of our tax team, you will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and utilize your expertise in tax accounting and reporting.   1. Manage the company's income tax provision process and ensure accurate and timely reporting of income taxes in accordance with US GAAP and tax laws.
  2. Work with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information for tax reporting.
  3. Utilize expertise in tax accounting and reporting to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external auditors, to ensure a smooth tax reporting process.
  5. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to the company.
  6. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting.
  7. Prepare and review tax calculations, including deferred taxes and tax provision adjustments.
  8. Review tax account reconciliations and provide guidance on reconciling items.
  9. Assist with tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
  10. Train and mentor junior team members on tax accounting and reporting processes.
  11. Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the company's tax reporting processes.
  12. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management, to provide updates on tax matters and address any concerns.
  13. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions and assist with tax planning initiatives.
  14. Uphold the company's values and ethical standards in all tax-related activities.
  15. Contribute to the overall success of the tax team by actively participating in team meetings and sharing knowledge and insights.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field.

  • Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Designation.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Tax Accounting And Compliance, Preferably In A Large Company Or Public Accounting Firm.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Tax Laws And Regulations.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With A Focus On Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
