- Develop and implement protocols for food safety testing and monitoring.
- Manage a team of microbiologists and other staff to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the food safety program and make necessary improvements or changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of food safety practices with company goals and objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in food safety regulations to ensure compliance.
- Train and educate staff on food safety protocols and best practices.
- Conduct audits and inspections to identify any potential risks and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure the safety and quality of ingredients and materials used in food production.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with food safety laws and regulations.
- Communicate food safety updates and issues to relevant stakeholders, including senior management and other departments.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Microbiology, Food Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Food Safety Management, Preferably In A Microbiology-Focused Role.
Strong Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Industry Standards, Such As Fda Food Code And Haccp Principles.
Experience In Leading And Managing A Team, With Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Certification In Food Safety, Such As Certified Professional Food Manager (Cpfm) Or Certified Food Safety Manager (Cfsm).
