  1. Lead and manage the Global Outcomes Research team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication within the team and with other departments.
  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive global outcomes research strategy in alignment with Abbott's overall business goals and objectives.
  3. Conduct thorough and timely analyses of clinical data and health outcomes to support the successful launch and commercialization of Abbott's products.
  4. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in outcomes research, and make recommendations for incorporating new methodologies and technologies into the department's processes.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, regulatory, and medical affairs to develop and execute outcomes research plans that support product value propositions.
  6. Identify and engage with key external stakeholders including healthcare providers, payers, and patient organizations to gather insights and incorporate their perspectives into outcomes research plans.
  7. Manage the budget and resources for outcomes research projects, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  8. Communicate research findings and insights to internal and external stakeholders, including presenting at conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
  9. Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards in all outcomes research activities.
  10. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth and professional development.
  11. Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and alignment of outcomes research strategies and plans across regions.
  12. Represent Abbott in external forums and influence the development of policies and guidelines related to outcomes research and evidence-based decision making.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve the outcomes research processes and methodologies to ensure quality and efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Health Economics, Public Health, Or Biostatistics.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Outcomes Research Within The Healthcare Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Global Health Systems And Reimbursement Processes.

  • Experience Managing And Leading Cross-Functional Teams, Including Working With Key Stakeholders Such As Healthcare Providers, Payers, And Regulators.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Design, Execution, And Dissemination Of Outcomes Research Studies, Including Publications In Peer-Reviewed Journals.
