  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for transportation operations in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day planning and execution of transportation operations, including route planning, scheduling, and tracking.
  3. Ensure timely and efficient delivery of packages to customers while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  4. Manage and coordinate a team of transport planners, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  5. Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
  7. Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with external transportation partners and vendors.
  9. Monitor and manage transportation budget and expenses.
  10. Provide regular reports and updates on transportation operations to senior management.
  11. Stay current on industry trends and developments to identify potential opportunities for improvement and growth.
  12. Lead and participate in meetings and presentations related to transportation planning and operations.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Transport Planning: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience In Transport Planning, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Managerial Position. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Supply Chain Management, Logistics, And Route Optimization.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Senior Transport Planning Supervisor, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Transport Planners And Coordinating With Various Departments. Hence, They Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Be Able To Motivate And Guide The Team, And Resolve Any Conflicts That May Arise.

  • Proficiency In Transportation Software And Tools: Ups Uses Various Transportation Software And Tools For Route Planning, Scheduling, And Tracking Shipments. The Candidate Should Have Prior Experience And Proficiency In Using Such Software And Tools To Efficiently Manage The Transportation Operations.
