  • Greet and welcome visitors to the University of Washington, representing the university in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assist in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
  • Perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and managing schedules
  • Maintain accurate and organized records, including filing, data entry, and document preparation
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and events for the unit
  • Assist in coordinating travel arrangements for unit staff
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Act as a point of contact for inquiries and requests from students, faculty, and staff
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement efficient processes and procedures
  • Complete other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor or unit leadership

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Unit Secretary At University Of Washington Is A High School Diploma Or Ged Equivalent. This Ensures Basic Literacy And Numeracy Skills Necessary For The Job.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Having Prior Experience As A Unit Secretary In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Clinic, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. It Demonstrates Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Procedures.
