As a Risk Manager, you will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating potential risks within our university community.   1. Identify potential risks within the university community and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  2. Evaluate the effectiveness of current risk management policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to assess and manage risks across all areas of the university.
  4. Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide detailed reports to senior management.
  5. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in risk management to continuously improve the university's risk management program.
  6. Develop and implement training programs for staff, faculty, and students on risk management and safety protocols.
  7. Communicate and educate the university community on potential risks and the appropriate measures to prevent or respond to them.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all risk management activities.
  9. Act as a liaison with insurance providers and assist with insurance claims and coverage reviews.
  10. Respond to any incidents or crises that may arise and provide guidance and support to resolve them.
  11. Develop emergency response plans and ensure all staff are trained and prepared to implement them.
  12. Collaborate with external agencies and organizations on risk management initiatives and emergency planning.
  13. Monitor and analyze key risk indicators and report on trends and potential areas of concern.
  14. Participate in risk management audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
  15. Uphold the university's values and code of conduct while carrying out all risk management responsibilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Economics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Risk Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Or Non-Profit Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Risk Management, Including But Not Limited To Osha, Ada, And Title Ix.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Assess Potential Risks And Develop Effective Mitigation Strategies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Stakeholders And Communicate Complex Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.
