- Conduct thorough quality inspections of all equipment, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards set by Union Pacific Railroad.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or quality concerns to the appropriate managers and take necessary corrective actions.
- Monitor and track compliance with safety and quality regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with various departments to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions taken.
- Assist with the development and implementation of training programs to ensure all employees are aware of safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices related to safety and quality.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance safety and quality performance.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure a smooth and efficient inspection process.
- Participate in accident investigation and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Uphold the company's values of safety, reliability, and efficiency in all aspects of the job.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures in performing job duties.
- Act as a mentor to new employees and assist with their training and development in safety and quality procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge Of Railroad Industry Regulations: A Quality Assurance Inspector At Union Pacific Railroad Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of All Applicable Regulations And Guidelines Set By The Federal Railroad Administration (Fra) And Other Governing Bodies.
Attention To Detail: The Ability To Pay Close Attention To Details Is Essential For A Quality Assurance Inspector. This Includes Identifying Potential Safety Hazards, Identifying Defects In Equipment And Materials, And Ensuring Compliance With Company Standards.
Quality Control Experience: A Quality Assurance Inspector Should Have Experience In Conducting Quality Control Inspections, Audits, And Tests. This Includes The Ability To Interpret And Analyze Data, Identify Trends, And Make Recommendations For Improvement.
