- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for Uber to ensure the safety of riders, drivers, and communities.
- Collaborate with various internal teams, including legal, operations, and communications, to develop comprehensive safety strategies.
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging safety issues and make recommendations for policy changes.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of current safety policies and propose improvements as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to advocate for Uber's safety policies.
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation safety and make necessary adjustments to Uber's policies.
- Lead training and education initiatives for Uber employees and partners on safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with data and analytics teams to gather and analyze safety data and identify areas for improvement.
- Act as a spokesperson for Uber's safety policies and initiatives, including giving presentations and participating in media interviews.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in safety policy and make recommendations for their integration into Uber's policies.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Public Policy, Political Science, Or A Related Field.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Public Policy, Government Affairs, Or Related Field, With A Focus On Safety And Regulatory Issues.
Strong Understanding Of The Transportation Industry And Regulatory Landscape, With A Particular Emphasis On Safety Regulations.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Influencing Regulatory Policy At The Local, State, And Federal Levels.
Excellent Communication And Advocacy Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Represent Uber's Safety Policies And Initiatives To Both Internal And External Stakeholders.
