- Conduct thorough assessments to determine each client's unique needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Monitor and track client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
- Educate clients and their families about addiction, the recovery process, and available resources.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Continuously seek professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in addiction and mental health treatment.
- Serve as an advocate for clients, promoting their rights and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other professionals involved in the treatment process.
- Stay current with changes and advancements in the field of addiction and mental health treatment.
- Attend team meetings and participate in case consultations.
- Display empathy, compassion, and understanding towards clients and their families.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Collaborate with community resources and referral sources to ensure continuity of care for clients.
Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Certified Alcohol And Drug Counselor (Cadc) By The New York State Office Of Alcoholism And Substance Abuse Services (Oasas).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In The Field Of Addiction Counseling.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Treatment Modalities For Substance Abuse And Co-Occurring Disorders.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Populations And Collaborate With Other Professionals In A Team Setting.
