- Oversee the daily operations of the correctional facility's laundry facility, including managing staff, scheduling, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and inmates by following proper safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure all laundry is processed in a timely and efficient manner, meeting the needs of the facility and inmates.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laundry supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
- Train and supervise laundry staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Inspect laundry for quality control and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to coordinate laundry services and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain records and reports related to laundry operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and maintenance logs.
- Adhere to all departmental rules, regulations, and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Continuously evaluate and improve laundry processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of service and safety for staff and inmates.
- Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role In A Laundry Facility, Preferably In A Correctional Setting.
Knowledge Of Laundry Operations, Including Equipment Maintenance, Inventory Management, And Budgeting.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team Of Laundry Workers.
Familiarity With Safety And Sanitation Regulations, As Well As State And Federal Laws Related To Correctional Facilities.
