  1. Greet and welcome customers to the produce department with a friendly and positive attitude.
  2. Assist customers in locating and selecting high-quality produce products.
  3. Monitor and maintain the freshness and quality of all produce items in the department.
  4. Rotate and restock produce items to ensure they are always fresh and available for customers.
  5. Keep the produce department clean and organized at all times.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving any customer issues promptly and professionally.
  7. Use knowledge and expertise to make recommendations to customers based on their needs and preferences.
  8. Operate equipment such as scales and slicers accurately and safely.
  9. Receive and inspect produce deliveries, ensuring they meet quality and freshness standards.
  10. Work closely with team members to ensure efficient and effective operations in the produce department.
  11. Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, pricing, and promotions to effectively assist customers.
  12. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  13. Assist with inventory management and ordering of produce products.
  14. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay informed of company policies and procedures.
  15. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals and contribute to the overall success of the produce department.

  • Knowledge Of Produce Department Operations: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding Of How A Produce Department Operates, Including Inventory Management, Product Rotation, And Merchandising.

  • Customer Service Skills: As A Produce Associate, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis, So Strong Customer Service Skills Are A Must. This Includes Being Friendly, Approachable, And Able To Answer Customer Questions And Address Any Concerns.

  • Attention To Detail: Maintaining The Quality And Freshness Of Produce Is Crucial In This Role, So Attention To Detail Is Essential. This Includes Inspecting Products For Any Signs Of Damage Or Spoilage And Ensuring That All Products Are Properly Labeled And Priced.

  • Physical Stamina: This Position Requires Frequent Lifting, Bending, And Standing For Extended Periods Of Time. Therefore, Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Comfortably.

  • Food Safety Knowledge: A Basic Understanding Of Food Safety Protocols Is Critical In This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Proper Handling, Storage, And Sanitation Procedures To Ensure The Safety Of Both Customers And Employees.
