- Perform a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Follow standard operating procedures and quality control protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Utilize advanced laboratory equipment and technology to analyze and interpret test results.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare providers to provide timely and accurate results.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers regarding test results and any necessary follow-up.
- Identify and report any abnormal or unexpected results to the appropriate healthcare provider.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing new laboratory procedures.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of work.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Prioritize and manage workload to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Represent the laboratory and Saint Francis Health System in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field.
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Technologist (Mt) From A Recognized Accrediting Agency.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Experience With Automated And Manual Testing Methods.
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Interpret And Analyze Laboratory Results.
