Job Description

At SAIC, we are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our team. As a member of our IT Infrastructure and Operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our Linux-based systems. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong technical background in Linux systems, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering reliable and high-quality IT solutions.The successful Linux System Administrator must possess advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration tools, including RedHat, CentOS, SELinux, and scripting in languages such as Bash and Python. In addition, the successful candidate must have a proven track record of successful system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The Linux System Administrator must also be able to work independently and work collaboratively with other IT teams to ensure the highest levels of system reliability.At SAIC, we are dedicated to providing reliable and secure IT solutions to our customers. Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.
  2. Possess advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration tools, including RedHat, CentOS, SELinux, and scripting in languages such as Bash and Python.
  3. Have a proven track record of successful system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  4. Work independently and collaboratively with other IT teams to ensure the highest levels of system reliability.
  5. Provide reliable and secure IT solutions to customers.
  6. Proactively monitor and evaluate system performance and resource utilization.
  7. Maintain system documentation and configurations.
  8. Perform system upgrades and patching.
  9. Troubleshoot system issues and ensure timely resolution.
  10. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and provide technical support.
