Cyber Defense Analyst/Engineer

Conduct active threat hunting for APTs and threat emulation on the network, generate periodic or ad-hoc security reports to provide relevant situational awareness for senior level stakeholders, operate and fine tune a suite of tools in our network security infrastructure, and facilitate automation; constantly improve RAND’s cyber security defensive posture. Leads the larger and more complex information security projects; develops and handles information security processes for two or more IS functional areas (e.g., data systems, network, and web/Intranet); maintains extensive knowledge in networking, databases, systems, and/or web operations. Provides support and guidance to IS staff and internal customers on security related operations; involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance information security productivity and effectiveness.
