
Lead Procedural Scheduler

- Manage and oversee the procedural scheduling process for Providence St. Patrick Hospital.
- Ensure that all procedures are scheduled in a timely and efficient manner, taking into account factors such as physician availability and patient needs.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate schedules and ensure that all necessary resources are available for each procedure.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of scheduled procedures, including any changes or cancellations.
- Monitor and manage the patient waitlist, prioritizing procedures based on urgency and availability.
- Collaborate with various departments, such as radiology, anesthesia, and surgery, to coordinate scheduling and ensure effective communication.
- Train and supervise other procedural schedulers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the scheduling process.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to procedural scheduling.
- Serve as a point of contact for any procedural scheduling inquiries or concerns from patients, staff, or external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to procedural scheduling, and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Adhere to the hospital's mission and values, promoting a culture of patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Scheduling, With A Strong Understanding Of Procedural Scheduling Processes And Protocols.
Proficiency In Scheduling Software And Electronic Medical Record Systems.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Staff.
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Abilities, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Manage A Busy Schedule To Ensure Smooth And Efficient Operations.
