- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure their products meet the quality standards of Parker Hannifin's Aerospace division.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier processes and products to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish and implement quality plans and procedures for supplier selection, evaluation, and development.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain supplier scorecards and participate in regular supplier performance reviews.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality engineering to continuously improve supplier quality processes.
- Train and mentor junior quality engineers and support their professional development.
- Communicate and report supplier quality performance and improvement efforts to upper management.
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards related to supplier quality.
- Participate in supplier selection and qualification processes, including on-site assessments and audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement supplier quality requirements into product design and development processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on supplier quality and provide guidance to other team members and departments as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field: A Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer At Parker Hannifin Should Possess A Strong Educational Background In Engineering Or A Related Field To Understand The Technical Aspects Of Aerospace Manufacturing And Quality Control.
Minimum 7-10 Years Of Experience In Supplier Quality Engineering: This Position Requires Extensive Experience In Supplier Quality Management, Preferably In The Aerospace Industry, To Effectively Identify And Resolve Quality Issues And Ensure Compliance With Industry Standards.
Knowledge Of As9100 And Other Aerospace Quality Standards: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of As9100 And Other Relevant Quality Standards In The Aerospace Industry To Ensure Suppliers Are Meeting The Required Quality And Safety Requirements.
Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills: As A Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer, One Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Problems And Develop Effective Solutions To Improve The Quality Of Supplied Parts And Components.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Suppliers, Internal Teams, And Customers, Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Communicate Quality Requirements And Collaborate With Different Stakeholders.
