
Environmental Scientist
At Pacific Gas and Electric, we are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Environmental Scientist to join our team. This position requires a deep knowledge of the environment and the ability to apply this knowledge to specific projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or a related field, along with proven experience in designing, developing and implementing environmental plans and projects. The successful candidate will also be an excellent problem-solver and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reporting to the Environmental Director, the Environmental Scientist will be responsible for performing technical tasks related to the environmental protection, regulatory compliance and sustainability initiatives of Pacific Gas and Electric. Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and implement environmental plans and projects.
- Analyze environmental data and develop conclusions to inform project management decisions.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Identify potential environmental risks and hazards, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
- Prepare reports and presentations on environmental data, progress, and results.
- Stay up-to-date on environmental developments and trends.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure environmental-friendly practices.
- Assist with the development and implementation of environmental policies and procedures.
- Perform research and provide technical advice on environmental issues.
