  1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities in the acute care setting.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  3. Use evidence-based practices and techniques to provide high-quality therapy services to patients.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  5. Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
  6. Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care and progress.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment and progress.
  8. Follow all ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensure requirements.
  9. Keep up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
  10. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  11. Ensure compliance with all hospital and department policies and procedures.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive and professional demeanor with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients.
  14. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  15. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, promoting their rights and ensuring their needs are met.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited University.

  • Current And Valid State Licensure As A Speech-Language Pathologist.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Or Acute Care Setting.

  • Certification Of Clinical Competence In Speech-Language Pathology (Ccc-Slp) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).

  • Knowledge Of Current Best Practices And Evidence-Based Interventions For Speech And Language Disorders In Acute Care Settings.
