1. Collect and prepare blood and other samples for diagnostic testing.
2. Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of phlebotomy procedures.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
4. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members to provide the best possible care.
5. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to prevent the spread of diseases.
6. Follow established procedures and protocols for specimen handling, labeling, and transportation.
7. Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures to obtain blood samples.
8. Properly record and document all collected specimens and prepare them for testing and analysis.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies with collected samples.
10. Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment and ensure they are properly stocked and maintained.
11. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
12. Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
13. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of test results.
