Nelnet is looking for a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our innovative and results-driven team. As a Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that will have a positive impact on our customers.The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong technical background and have proven experience developing and deploying software solutions. You should have the ability to work independently and be comfortable working with a variety of technologies. The successful candidate will have a passion for software engineering and be driven to make a difference in our products and services.To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer. Additionally, you should have experience with popular programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python, as well as experience developing and testing using structured development processes. Expertise in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is also desired.If you’re looking to make a real impact in the software engineering space, then this position is for you. Responsibilities:

Develop and deploy software solutions using popular languages such as Java, C++, and Python.
Create and maintain software applications using web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Utilize structured development processes to create and test software applications.
Collaborate with other engineers to identify and address technical issues.
Monitor and troubleshoot software applications to ensure performance and efficiency.
Research and recommend new technologies that can improve our software solutions.
Develop technical documentation for software applications.
Remain up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
