Job Description

If so, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Mercy as a Quality Improvement Specialist.As a Quality Improvement Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our organization maintains and exceeds industry standards for providing high-quality healthcare services. You will collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities for improvement, develop and implement quality improvement plans, and monitor the effectiveness of these initiatives.To excel in this role, you must have a strong background in healthcare and quality improvement methodologies, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.   1. Develop and implement quality improvement plans to address identified areas of improvement within the organization.
  2. Collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  3. Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives.
  4. Analyze data and identify trends to inform quality improvement efforts.
  5. Communicate and collaborate with a diverse team to ensure all departments are working towards the same quality improvement goals.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for providing high-quality healthcare services.
  7. Train and educate staff on quality improvement methodologies and processes.
  8. Act as a resource and provide guidance to staff on quality improvement initiatives.
  9. Work closely with leadership to ensure quality improvement efforts align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  10. Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of quality issues and develop solutions to address them.
  11. Develop and maintain documentation and reports related to quality improvement initiatives.
  12. Participate in quality improvement committees and meetings to share progress, challenges, and recommendations.
  13. Act as a liaison between the organization and external accrediting bodies to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve the organization's quality improvement processes and procedures.
  15. Stay informed of changes in regulations and policies related to quality improvement and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Management, Quality Improvement, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Quality Improvement Or Healthcare Administration.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations And Accreditation Requirements.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Multidisciplinary Teams.
