
Clinical Nurse - Pediatric Immunotherapy Infusion
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our Pediatric Immunotherapy Infusion team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Our team is committed to providing the highest quality of care to our young patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong dedication to providing excellent patient care while supporting the overall well-being of our pediatric patients. The Clinical Nurse will provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care for pediatric patients undergoing immunotherapy infusions. The successful candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills and must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, current New York State Registered Nursing license, and at least three years of experience in pediatric oncology nursing. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license and be certified in pediatric oncology nursing.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing immunotherapy infusions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure excellent patient care.
- Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and document patient care.
- Educate patients and families on immunotherapy treatments and best practices for managing side effects.
- Respond to patient and family inquiries and concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Maintain up-to-date records of patient care and progress.
- Participate in research, data collection, and quality improvement activities.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing
Valid New York State Rn License
Certified Pediatric Nurse (Cpn) Or Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse (Cpon) Credential
Minimum Of Two Years Of Pediatric Nursing Experience
Experience With Immunotherapy And/Or Infusion Therapy
Demonstrated Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team
