- Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients undergoing stress and echocardiography procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their overall condition before, during, and after the procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on managing stress and improving cardiovascular health.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedures.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies in the Stress/Echo lab.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based practices.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during stressful procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Act as a patient advocate and ensure that their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Stay updated with current trends and advancements in cardiac nursing.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Collaborate with other nurses and healthcare professionals to provide a cohesive and comprehensive patient care experience.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution: A Candidate For A Registered Nurse - Stress / Echo Lab Position At Mayo Clinic Must Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Should Include Coursework In Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, And Other Relevant Subjects.
Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Practice: A Candidate Must Hold A Valid Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing. The License Must Be In Good Standing And Should Be Renewed As Required By The State.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience As An Rn, Preferably In A Cardiac Care Setting. This Experience Should Include Working With Patients Undergoing Stress Tests And Echocardiograms.
Certification In Basic Cardiac Life Support (Bcls): Candidates Should Have Current Certification In Bcls, As This Is A Crucial Skill For Working In A Cardiac Lab. This Certification Must Be From An Accredited Organization Such As The American Heart Association.
Knowledge Of Cardiac Diagnostic Equipment And Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Cardiac Diagnostic Equipment And Procedures, Including Stress Testing And Echocardiography. They Should Also Be Familiar With Interpreting And Analyzing Test Results To Assist In Patient Diagnosis And Treatment.
