  1. Provide clerical and administrative support to the interdisciplinary team on the 2South Inpatient Psych unit.
  2. Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  3. Answer phone calls and relay messages to appropriate team members in a timely manner.
  4. Schedule appointments and arrange meetings for patients and team members.
  5. Monitor and order office supplies to ensure the unit is well-stocked and equipped.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide excellent customer service.
  7. Collaborate with other unit secretaries to ensure coverage and support for the entire unit.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding patient confidentiality and information security.
  9. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  10. Participate in unit meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and procedures.
  11. Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and provide necessary information.
  12. Act as a liaison between patients and their families and the interdisciplinary team.
  13. Maintain knowledge of and follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  14. Attend required trainings and continuously update knowledge and skills related to the position.
  15. Provide support and assistance to patients and families during their hospital stay, including answering questions and addressing concerns.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education Required

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Electronic Medical Record Systems

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience As A Unit Secretary In A Psychiatric Or Behavioral Health Setting Preferred
