Job Qualifications
  • A Doctor Of Physical Therapy (Dpt) Degree From An Accredited Institution: This Is The Minimum Educational Requirement For A Physical Therapist To Practice In Massachusetts And Is Necessary For An Inpatient Position At Massachusetts General Hospital.

  • A Current And Valid State License: In Addition To Holding A Dpt Degree, A Physical Therapist Must Also Be Licensed By The State Of Massachusetts In Order To Practice At Massachusetts General Hospital.

  • Experience In Inpatient Rehabilitation: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In An Inpatient Rehabilitation Setting, With A Focus On Acute Care And Working With A Variety Of Conditions And Diagnoses.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As Part Of An Interdisciplinary Team, Physical Therapists Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide The Best Possible Care.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practice And Treatment Techniques: A Strong Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practice And The Latest Treatment Techniques Is Crucial For Providing High-Quality Care To Patients At Massachusetts General Hospital. Candidates Should Be Knowledgeable In A Variety Of Treatment Modalities, Including Manual Therapy, Therapeutic Exercise, And Modalities Such As Ultrasound And Electrical Stimulation.
