  1. Register patients upon admission, ensuring accurate and complete information is obtained.
  2. Verify insurance information and ensure all necessary authorizations are obtained.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  4. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while entering patient information into electronic medical records.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient admission process for patients.
  6. Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies in regards to patient information.
  7. Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care as needed.
  8. Communicate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations and resolve any billing issues.
  9. Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor at all times, representing Mainehealth positively to patients and their families.
  10. Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance policies and procedures to ensure accurate registration and billing processes.
  11. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless transition for patients from admission to their designated care area.
  12. Continuously strive to improve processes and provide the best possible experience for patients.
  13. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  14. Attend required trainings and meetings to stay current on policies and procedures.
  15. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with other team members.
