
Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant
MaineGeneral Health is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated team of care professionals. The ideal candidate for this role will be an effective communicator, team player, and patient advocate who is passionate about helping our patients reach their physical therapy goals. We are looking for someone who will bring a positive attitude to the workplace and contribute to a culture of excellence. To be considered for this role, applicants must have an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university and a valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Maine. Previous experience in an outpatient physical therapy department is preferred. Other relevant qualifications include the ability to build relationships with patients, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to patients based on their individualized plan of care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, document all treatments and progress.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their diagnosis and progress.
- Educate patients and families on proper physical therapy techniques and goals of treatment.
- Work with other professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with patients, families, and other healthcare staff.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure.
- Follow all laws, regulations, and policies of MaineGeneral Health.
