  1. Schedule surgical procedures for patients by coordinating with medical staff and other departments.
  2. Communicate with patients to provide necessary information and instructions for their surgeries.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all scheduled surgeries and related information.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient use of surgical resources and timely completion of procedures.
  5. Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
  6. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for surgical procedures.
  7. Serve as a point of contact for patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns related to their surgeries.
  8. Monitor and manage surgical schedule to accommodate urgent or emergent cases.
  9. Assist in the coordination of pre-operative and post-operative care for patients.
  10. Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and changes to ensure compliance.
  11. Continuously seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiency in surgical scheduling.
  12. Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor when interacting with patients, their families, and medical staff.
  13. Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines in handling patient information.
  14. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  15. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.
