- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with various medical procedures, such as EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms
- Administer medications and perform injections as directed by providers
- Monitor and record patient progress, including symptoms, vital signs, and medication adherence
- Educate patients on heart health, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care
- Communicate with patients and their families, providing compassionate and clear explanations of procedures and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures

Formal Education And Training: A Medical Assistant - Cardiology At Legacy Health Should Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, As Well As Completion Of A Recognized Medical Assistant Program. This Ensures They Have A Strong Foundation In Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Clinical Skills.
