
Assistant Nurse Manager, NICU

- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kaiser Permanente.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of nurses, ensuring they are delivering high-quality care to infants in the NICU.
- Mentor and train new nurses, as well as provide ongoing support and education to existing staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for infants in the NICU.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and thorough manner.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve the level of care provided in the NICU.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in neonatal care, and incorporate them into the unit's practices.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, compassion, and dedication to patient care for all staff members.
- Handle any administrative tasks, such as scheduling and budgeting, related to the NICU unit.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Typically Required For An Assistant Nurse Manager Position At Kaiser Permanente. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Nurses In The Nicu Setting.
