- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify underlying psychological factors contributing to patients' chronic pain.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients to address their specific pain management needs.
- Utilize evidence-based techniques and interventions to help patients cope with and manage their chronic pain.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and physical therapists, to provide a comprehensive approach to pain management.
- Educate patients and their families on the psychological aspects of chronic pain and how to effectively manage it.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of pain management and incorporate them into practice.
- Provide support and guidance to patients as they navigate the psychological and emotional challenges of living with chronic pain.
- Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the delivery of services.
- Continuously evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and make adjustments as needed.

Doctoral Degree In Psychology: A Qualified Candidate For The Psychologist- Pain Management Job At Henry Ford Health System Should Possess A Doctoral Degree In Psychology From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Should Be In A Relevant Field Such As Clinical Psychology Or Health Psychology.
State Licensure: The Candidate Must Be Licensed To Practice As A Psychologist In The State Of Michigan. This License Should Be In Good Standing And Without Any Disciplinary Actions.
Experience In Pain Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Working With Patients Who Are Experiencing Chronic Pain. This Experience Should Include Conducting Assessments, Developing Treatment Plans, And Providing Therapy To Individuals And Groups.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices: Henry Ford Health System Is Committed To Providing The Best Possible Care To Their Patients.
