Diabetes Care & Education Specialist

Henry Ford Health System is looking for an experienced and passionate Diabetes Care & Education Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive diabetes education to patients, families and caregivers. You should have a strong understanding of diabetes management, providing patient education and promoting self-management. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to develop relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, dietetics, or health related field • Registered Nurse, Registered Dietitian, or Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, EHR experience • 3+ years of experience in diabetes management • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
