  1. Greet and welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
  2. Assist customers in selecting food items and offer recommendations based on their preferences.
  3. Prepare and serve food items according to company standards and customer requests.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized food service area at all times.
  5. Monitor and maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices.
  6. Handle and resolve any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  8. Restock and rotate food products as needed to ensure freshness.
  9. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  10. Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and promotions to provide excellent customer service.
  11. Follow all company policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  12. Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  13. Assist with inventory management and ordering as needed.
  14. Complete all assigned tasks with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, both with customers and team members.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience In The Food Service Industry: A Food Service Representative At H-E-B Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Food Service Environment, Such As A Restaurant, Catering Company, Or Grocery Store Deli. This Shows They Have A Basic Understanding Of Food Safety, Customer Service, And Food Preparation.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: As A Representative Of H-E-B, The Food Service Representative Must Have Exceptional Customer Service Skills. This Includes Being Friendly, Approachable, And Able To Handle Customer Inquiries And Complaints In A Professional And Efficient Manner.

  • Knowledge Of H-E-B Products: Familiarity With H-E-B’s Variety Of Food Products Is Essential For A Food Service Representative. This Includes Knowledge Of Ingredients, Nutritional Information, And Allergens To Help Customers Make Informed Decisions About Their Purchases.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Food Service Industry Is Fast-Paced And Requires Individuals Who Can Work Efficiently Under Pressure. A Food Service Representative Should Be Able To Multitask, Prioritize Tasks, And Work Quickly To Ensure Customers Are Served In A Timely Manner.

  • Food Safety Certification: H-E-B Values The Safety Of Its Customers And Employees, So A Food Service Representative Should Have A Valid Food Safety Certification, Such As Servsafe, To Ensure Proper Handling And Preparation Of Food. This Certification Also Demonstrates Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Protocols.
