- Provide exceptional, patient-centered care to oncology patients in a compassionate manner.
- Collaborate with the Radiation Oncology team to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
- Conduct physical exams and assess patient's medical history to determine appropriate treatment options.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer and monitor radiation therapy treatments according to established protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options, potential side effects, and necessary follow-up care.
- Monitor and manage patient symptoms and side effects to ensure optimal comfort and quality of life during treatment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in oncology treatment and technology, and incorporate new techniques into practice as appropriate.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the Radiation Oncology department.
- Continuously demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment by communicating effectively and collaborating with team members.
- Attend and actively participate in department meetings, trainings, and conferences to stay informed and share knowledge with colleagues.
Master's Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.
Current State Licensure As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant.
Certification As An Advanced Practice Provider In Radiation Oncology From A Recognized National Organization (E.g. Aanp, Ancc, Nccpa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Radiation Oncology Or A Related Field.
Demonstrated Clinical Competency In Managing Complex Cancer Patients, Including Knowledge Of Radiation Therapy Techniques And Treatment Planning.
