  1. Conduct thorough and accurate commercial title examinations for properties in multiple states.
  2. Research and analyze legal documents, such as deeds, mortgages, and maps, to determine the property's history and ownership.
  3. Verify and review public records to ensure the accuracy and completeness of title information.
  4. Identify and resolve any potential title issues or defects.
  5. Communicate with underwriters and clients to provide updates and address any concerns or questions.
  6. Prepare and review title commitments, title reports, and other necessary documents.
  7. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of title examinations.
  9. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  10. Stay updated on industry developments and changes in regulations related to commercial title examinations.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any inquiries or issues in a professional and timely manner.
  12. Work independently and remotely, effectively managing time and workload to meet deadlines.
  13. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  14. Adhere to company standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of State-Specific Title Laws And Regulations: A Multi-State Commercial Title Examiner At First American Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Title Laws And Regulations In All States Where The Company Operates. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Types Of Title Policies, Recording Procedures, And Common Title Defects.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Commercial Title Examination Experience: First American Requires Candidates For This Role To Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Commercial Title Examination. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Strong Foundation In Title Examination And Is Familiar With Common Issues That May Arise During The Process.

  • Strong Research And Analytical Skills: As A Commercial Title Examiner, The Ability To Conduct Thorough Research And Analyze Complex Title Issues Is Crucial. First American Looks For Candidates Who Have A Strong Attention To Detail And Can Efficiently Identify And Resolve Title Issues.

  • Proficiency In Industry-Specific Software And Technology: First American Utilizes Various Software And Technology Tools To Streamline The Title Examination Process. A Multi-State Commercial Title Examiner Should Be Proficient In Using These Tools And Have A Good Understanding Of The Latest Industry Technology.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: A Large Part Of A Multi-State Commercial Title Examiner's Job Involves Communicating With Clients, Attorneys, And Other Stakeholders.
