Applications Scientist

This exciting job opportunity is for a Polymer Applications Scientist in the Corporate Innovation Division. The position will have responsibility for leading and executing new product development projects as well as leading customer facing applications development in order to generate new business. Develop a deep understanding of the functional attributes of a wide range of polymeric materials relevant to Eastman technology platforms. Apply theory and modeling to explain experimentally based structure-property relationships for a variety of polymeric systems with the goal of predicting end-use product performance. Identify needs and opportunities through discussion with customers, sales and marketing personnel with the ability to translate those needs into innovative product solutions. Propose a course of action based on data analysis. Lead multidisciplinary new product development project teams.
