
Senior Product Designer, Onboarding & Activation

- Lead the design and development of the onboarding and activation process for DoorDash users, from initial concept to final implementation.
- Conduct user research to gain insights and identify pain points in the onboarding and activation experience, and use these findings to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and data analysts to define and prioritize features and improvements for the onboarding and activation process.
- Utilize a user-centered design approach to create intuitive and user-friendly products that meet the needs and expectations of our diverse user base.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs to effectively communicate design ideas and solutions.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to continuously iterate and improve the onboarding and activation experience.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in onboarding and activation design, and incorporate them into our products.
- Mentor and provide guidance to other designers on the team, helping to elevate the overall design quality and user experience.
- Effectively communicate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders and advocate for a user-centered design approach.
- Collaborate with other product designers and teams across DoorDash to maintain a consistent and cohesive design language and user experience.
Extensive Experience In User Experience (Ux) Design: The Senior Product Designer Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Ux Design, With A Strong Understanding Of User-Centered Design Principles And Methodologies. They Should Also Have A Portfolio Showcasing Their Successful Designs For Onboarding And Activation Processes.
Proficiency In Design Tools And Technologies: A Strong Command Of Design Tools Such As Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, And Figma Is Necessary For This Role. The Senior Product Designer Should Also Be Familiar With Web And Mobile Design Standards, As Well As The Latest Design Trends And Technologies.
Strong Visual And Interaction Design Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And A Strong Visual Design Sense. They Should Be Able To Create Visually Appealing And Intuitive Interfaces That Enhance The User Experience. Additionally, They Should Have Experience In Designing For Different Platforms And Devices.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Design Team, The Senior Product Designer Should Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Design Ideas, Gather Feedback, And Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Product Managers, Engineers, And Researchers.
Experience In Onboarding And Activation Design: The Senior Product Designer Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Designing Successful Onboarding And Activation Experiences For Digital Products. They Should Be Able To Understand User Needs And Behavior During The Onboarding Process And Design Solutions That Drive User Engagement And Retention.
