- Lead and manage a team of SREs to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving system uptime and minimizing downtime.
- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify potential issues and proactively address them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company standards for site reliability and performance.
- Recruit, train, and mentor SRE team members to build a high-performing and cohesive team.
- Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for SRE processes and workflows.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to SRE to continuously improve processes and systems.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and upper management on SRE initiatives, progress, and results.
- Lead and participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability within the SRE team.
- Collaborate with other technology teams to plan and implement system upgrades and changes with minimal impact on users.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and procedures to protect company data and systems.
- Monitor and manage SRE team budgets, resources, and timelines to meet business objectives.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes diversity, equity, and belonging.
Extensive Experience In Managing Large-Scale, High-Traffic Websites And Applications In A Fast-Paced, Dynamic Environment.
Strong Understanding Of Site Reliability Engineering Principles And Best Practices, Including Automation, Monitoring, And Incident Response.
Proven Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team Of Sre Engineers.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Cloud Computing Platforms, Such As Aws Or Google Cloud, And Experience With Infrastructure-As-Code Tools Like Terraform Or Cloudformation.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders To Drive Continuous Improvement And Innovation Within The Sre Function.
