Patient Care Technician - Neuro Surgical (PCT) Night Shift

As a PCT, you will play a crucial role in supporting our patients during their stay at our facility. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support to patients and their loved ones. 1. Assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
2. Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
3. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
4. Assist with patient transfers and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort.
5. Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
6. Document patient observations and assist with maintaining accurate medical records.
7. Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
8. Ensure a clean and safe patient environment by following infection control protocols.
9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
10. Attend and participate in staff meetings and educational opportunities to stay updated on current healthcare practices.
11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and patient rights.
12. Continuously strive to improve patient care and satisfaction.
13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with data collection.
14. Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor at all times.
15. Adhere to all safety and emergency protocols.
16. Maintain knowledge of and follow all HIPAA regulations.
17. Regularly report any issues or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor.
18. Complete assigned tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
19. Attend and participate in training and orientation for new team members.
20. Other duties as assigned by the nursing staff or supervisor.
