- Stock shelves and displays with merchandise in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or overages to management.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled and priced.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the stockroom and sales floor.
- Assist in receiving and unpacking shipments, checking for accuracy and damages.
- Collaborate with team members and managers to plan and execute product displays.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product location and inquiries.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and promotions to effectively assist customers.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and stack merchandise.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
- Communicate any product quality issues or customer feedback to management.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic, contributing to a productive and cohesive team environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and offer suggestions for process enhancements.
Physical Stamina And Dexterity: Stockers At Costco Must Be Able To Lift And Move Heavy Items, Such As Cases Of Products And Pallets, On A Regular Basis. They Should Also Be Able To Stand And Walk For Extended Periods Of Time.
Attention To Detail: As Stockers Are Responsible For Maintaining The Organization And Presentation Of Merchandise On The Sales Floor, They Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify And Correct Any Discrepancies Or Errors.
Time Management Skills: Costco Is A Fast-Paced Environment, And Stockers Must Be Able To Work Efficiently And Prioritize Tasks To Meet Deadlines And Keep Up With The Store's High Volume Of Sales.
Team Player Mentality: Stockers Work Closely With Other Team Members, From Fellow Stockers To Sales Associates And Managers. They Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively And Work Collaboratively To Ensure The Store Runs Smoothly.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience With Inventory Management And Stock Control Systems Can Be Beneficial For A Stocker Position At Costco. This Includes The Ability To Track Inventory Levels, Identify Popular Products, And Make Recommendations For Restocking.
