- Develop and implement strategies for the maintenance, installation, and improvement of equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Oversee a team of engineers and technicians in the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
- Monitor and analyze equipment and facility performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and manage budgets for equipment and facility maintenance and upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment and facility needs are met and production goals are achieved.
- Lead the planning and execution of equipment and facility upgrades and installations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies in regards to equipment and facility maintenance and operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with equipment and facility vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts and services.
- Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and maximize equipment and facility lifespan.
- Develop and maintain documentation and records related to equipment and facility maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment and facility operations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and other departments as needed.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve equipment and facility operations.
- Train and develop team members on proper equipment and facility maintenance and operations procedures.
- Communicate regularly with upper management on equipment and facility performance, issues, and improvements.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field: A Qualified Equipment & Facilities Engineering Manager At Corning Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field Such As Mechanical, Electrical Or Industrial Engineering. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Technical Knowledge And Skills For Managing Equipment And Facilities In A Manufacturing Setting.
Previous Experience In Equipment And Facilities Management: Corning Would Prefer Candidates With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Managing Equipment And Facilities In A Manufacturing Environment. This Experience Should Include Overseeing Maintenance And Repair Activities, Managing Budgets And Resources, And Implementing Improvement Projects.
